DfT have been asked to communicate again to hauliers dealing with prohibited goods the instructions relating to Covid testing prior to entering Kent. The information is on Gov.uk at COVID-19 testing for HGV drivers using the Port of Dover or Eurotunnel – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
Manston Airport and Ashford Sevington prohibit the following loads:
• explosives
• polymerizing substances
• infectious substances
• radioactive substances
• goods that are high consequence from a terrorism point of view
Therefore drivers seeking to travel to France via Dover or Eurotunnel should ensure that they have a Covid test prior to entering Kent.
