SN Registrars (Holdings) Ltd has developed a certification scheme for organizations required to focus on best-practice for the handling, transport and storage of explosives during widespread use of explosives in the Construction Industry, which includes demolition works, underwater blasting, land excavation, tunneling and shaft sinking when working with explosives and initiation systems. The application of the BS 5607:2017 code of practice places greater emphasis on the qualifications and general competence of shot firers and explosive engineers regarding preliminary activities and risk assessment.
