Airmen Technical Services is seeking a Principal WOME Engineer for a contract opportunity supporting defence maritime programmes.

📍 Bristol / Abbey Wood – Hybrid
📅 Initial contract to March 2027, with potential extension
📋 Inside IR35
🔐 Active SC clearance essential
🚢 Occasional travel to UK naval and dockyard locations

Your expertise will help deliver:

▪️ Specialist WOME engineering and explosive safety advice
▪️ Explosive Safety Cases and Hazard Log maintenance
▪️ Weapons and munitions integration support
▪️ Weapon system installation, inspection and certification
▪️ Safety reviews and engineering assurance across the platform lifecycle

We’re looking for experience in WOME, OME, Explosive Safety or Weapons Engineering, supported by a strong background in safety cases, hazard logs, assurance and certification within a highly regulated engineering environment. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential.

Experience in naval programmes, systems engineering, weapons integration, munitions vulnerability or explosive modelling would be particularly welcome.
