Qualifying Criteria

You hold a position requiring knowledge of, or decisions about, explosives, but you do not handle explosives and you do not answer for other people’s explosives work.

Associate membership is for people who work in or with an explosives organisation but do not manage the explosive hazard themselves. You are not the person who exercises responsibility for explosives work done by others. The position held is at a distance from the work, where the decisions about explosives are taken by others.

Applications are assessed by considering qualifications, work experience, current role, and length of time within the industry. IExpE recognise that each application is unique and will review the documents you provide against the criteria. Failure to provide all information at the time of submission will result in delays when processing your application.

Associate membership is available to civilian and military personnel.
