On 24th September 2026, the IExpE hosted a special Awards Presentation and Lunch at its office to celebrate and recognise the achievements of this year’s award recipients. The event provided an opportunity to acknowledge their contributions to the explosives engineering profession and to bring members and colleagues together to mark the occasion.
The awards were presented by the President of the IExpE to Frank Smith, recipient of the Rosenthal Silver Salver; and Tony Slate, who was awarded Honorary Fellowship.
Each award recognises significant achievement, commitment and contribution to the field of explosives engineering. The presentation offered an opportunity to formally acknowledge the recipients’ professional accomplishments and dedication to the profession.
Following the presentation, attendees gathered for lunch, providing an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the award winners and enjoy an informal occasion with fellow members and colleagues.
The IExpE extends its congratulations to all three recipients and recognises their valuable contributions to the explosives engineering profession.
