Dstl Explosives Detection Graduate Placement

Description

The Explosives detection work is based near Sevenoaks in Kent and near Salisbury in Wiltshire. The majority of the 9-Month placement will be at these sites (mainly Kent) but there is a chance of working at other trials sites in the UK. The Placement will be within the following teams: signatures and Sampling; Explosives Euipment Evaluation and Canine and Biosystems. These teams seek to characterise current and emerging threats and devise, test and validate methods. Dstl will offer access to state-of-the-art facilities and on-line literature through the extensive knowledge management system to enable candidates to contribute and participate in research projects in the field of explosives analysis and detection. A work programme will be selected to meet the training needs, interests and expertise of the participant.
