Job Title: Quality Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Radway Green

Salary: £40,049

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure operational compliance to specifications + quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001)
  • Drive and support targeted Continuous Improvement activities
  • Deliver a quality system that provides a step improvement in operational performance
  • Contribute and improve process management across the business to achieve better outcomes
  • Develop an evidence based approach to management and problem solving
  • Support resolution of quality issues, the internal audit process, and external audits
  • Manufacturing Operations and Improvements
  • Compliance to Specifications and Standards
  • Product performance

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Deliver a quality system that provides a step improvement in operational performance
  • Contribute and improve process management across the business to achieve better outcomes
  • Develop and evidence based approach to management and problem solving

Desirable:

  •  Identify and escalate quality issues and process/product deviations, in all scenarios
  • Coaching and mentoring of teams and individuals both in the Quality Team and in other functions
  • Energising other to engage in and/or support improvement activities and empowering others to identify and implement their own improvements   

Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution. Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the relevant accreditation. Preference will be given to candidates who are already professionally registered.

Our Quality Team:

Within the Quality team there is a Quality Manager, Senior Quality Engineer, 2 Quality Manufacturing Engineers and 3 Quality Controllers that support Operations and Engineering. In this role, you will report to the Senior Quality Engineer.
