We are now looking for an OME Programme Lead to join the Wales Institute of Science and Art (WISA) in Swansea. This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week.

– THE ROLE –

As the OME Programme Lead, you will be responsible for the teaching, assessment, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of the Ordnance Munitions and Explosives (OME) programme.

Offering academic leadership, support and guidance to staff members, you will oversee the design and development of module and programme content, ensuring the programme operates within a QA framework and in line with University policies and procedures.

You will ensure a high-quality student experience across the programme and undertake individual or collaborative scholarship, research, training and/or project work, seeking out opportunities for funding, external engagement and collaboration, and professional recognition.

In addition, you will ensure there is effective engagement with the Apprenticeship Unit and the OME Apprenticeship Liaison Team.

– ABOUT YOU –

To be considered as an OME Programme Lead, you will need:

– Experience of working with apprentices and employers
– Broad experience in teaching, delivery, assessment and student support at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including project supervision
– Evidence of the design, development and implementation of curriculum content across a range of modules or programmes of study
– Evidence of providing academic leadership and supervision of others within an area of responsibility
– Professional standing and leadership in both national and international advisory working groups and symposiums
– Evidence of ongoing and successful scholarship, research, professional development or project work through publication and contract, grant or funding awards, professional or peer recognition or external impact
– A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline or relevant operational experience
– Membership and/or fellowships of a relevant professional body (e.g IExpE, IET, etc) or teaching qualification or equivalent
