Job summary

Dstl’s Energetics Enclosure (EE) is expanding and your next role could see you providing on-site direct support on explosive tasks.

We have an exciting roles for an EE Magazine Worker.

For this role you will have effective communication skills, pay attention to detail and be comfortable working in a team. You will adhere to safe working practices and appreciate the need for others to do the same.

You may have experience working with energetics, or transferable skills from a warehouse environment, either way we look forward to  hearing from you.

Job description

As the Magazine Worker you will be accountable for the receipt, storage and issuing of explosive articles. Supported by your supervisor, you will ensure relevant paperwork and compliance is completed.  You will take pride in ensuring your tasks are completed safely, flagging any issues with facilities etc. allowing them to be dealt with promptly.

Important Information

Our work in defence, security and intelligence requires our employees to be UK Nationals who are able to gain a high level of security clearance to undertake the projects we are involved in to protect us from security threats. Person specification

We are looking for someone who has:

•    Produce and maintain accurate stock records.
•    Pay attention to detail.
•    Ability to effectively host visitors.
•    Ability to stay calm in an emergency.
•    Competence in using Microsoft Office software products, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
•    Hold a full UK driving licence (manual).

Qualifications

Mathematics GCSE grade 4/C or above, English GCSE grade 4/C or above (or equivalent which may include a relevant OME qualification).
