Job Title: CNC Machinist Team Leader
Location: Washington, Tyne and Wear

What you’ll be doing:
- Supervising a team of skilled machinists working across multiple shift patterns
- Carrying out line management responsibilities such as absence management, coaching, and development
- Taking responsibility for the activities that the skilled workers will be undertaking, such as machine knock/bump/crash and finding the root cause
- Responsible for the safety of the employees working within Setter function within the manufacturing area.
- Supporting the development and implementation of continuous improvement activities utilising lean tools and techniques to drive delivery performance
- Showing a proactive, flexible and enthusiastic approach to work, with excellent attention to detail
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Time served Engineering apprenticeship
- Previous success in implementing and sustaining continuous improvement activities
- Extensive experience in CNC machining
- An ability to lead a team ensuring deliverables ae achieved to the required quality, cost, and delivery
Desirable:
- A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to work, with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communicator at all levels, with the ability to articulate technical safety and process information to stakeholders
- Safety conscious attitude with knowledge and skill to fully integrate safety into the working environment
