Description
Job title: Civil Structural Designer
Location: Glascoed, South Wales
Salary: £53,928
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop planning applications, building regulations, detailed design for highways/drainage/structures and construction drawings
- Produce drawing packages including design calculations for all stages of development to provide the most cost effective solution
- Land and Building surveying
- Provide structural design advice and expertise to construction projects
- Support the delivery team and client to fulfil its designer’s responsibilities under CDM
- Checking compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Degree/HNC/HND in Civil / Structural Engineering, or equivalent
- Excellent understanding of the 2015 CDM Regulations
- Practical design experience in construction within the industrial sector (client or contractor biased)
- AutoCAD proficient
- An ability to design from first principles
Desirable:
- Member, or working towards membership in related Professional Engineering
- Working in a design consultancy position
