Job title: Data Management Lead

Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Establishing a data governance framework and chairing a Land UK Data Management Steering Group, along with defining, developing, and maturing a Land UK Data Strategy
- Defining and leading a prioritised Data Management improvement programme to include the design and maintenance of data dictionaries and a Land UK wide information model
- Determining required data monitoring tools, implementing and running these and providing insights on maturity and required improvements
- Leading and supporting a community of data owners and data stewards, promoting best practice and increasing overall awareness of the importance of data quality and control
- Reviewing and advising on data access processes and rules, and undertaking assurance checks
- ssessing and assuring compliance against relevant data management standards
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Possess experience of data governance processes and data quality requirements
- Demonstrate success in driving improvement programmes, ideally related to data
- Knowledge of data management maturity assessment and operation of relevant monitoring techniques and tools
Desirable:
- Ability to plan and manage work content of a programme containing several work packages within an overall roadmap
- Assessment of risk and development of suitable mitigation strategies
- Ability to undertake assurance assessments and identify remediation

The IM&T team:
Joining this team you will be reporting directly into the Head of IM&T as you will play a key role in the governance in Land UK as you will be involved in establishing the new governance framework for the business, putting the processes in place and ensuring this is adopted across the business. You will get to work with a range of internal stakeholders across all of the different functions.
This role will give you the opportunity to bring you own ideas and to use your influencing skills to drive governance across the business unit. BAE Systems will also offer support for both your own personal and career development and growth.
