HSE and the Environment Agency are gathering evidence on the risks of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in firefighting foams as part of the preparation of a restriction dossier under UK REACH.
As part of this they are seeking information from stakeholders on the use, manufacture/formulation, import and/or distribution of firefighting foams containing PFAS. The consultation closes on 3 June. You can find out more here.
