Working with Explosives Course

Course Description

The “Working with Explosives” course is a bespoke course designed for Dstl. It provides an introduction to explosives and their effects and identifies the key legislation and regulations for explosive substances and articles, before going into detail how and why explosive substances and articles are classified for transportation and storage. The course includes presentations, classroom-based group exercises and some practical elements.

This course is based on the MOD regulations (DSA 03 – OME Part 2), but was designed against the National Occupational Standards for Explosive Substances & Articles, so could be readily adapted for other MOD or non-MOD clients.
