Course Description
This course has been designed for personnel to obtain intelligence and evidence from an explosive event / blast and to coordinate effectively within a multi-agency team, addressing all of the issues that need to be considered and understood, and rehearsing the practices that need to be applied to maximise the outcome to UK National Occupational Standards (NOS). At the end of the course, the student will be able to recognise component parts of a device, understand blast effects, use forensic recovery equipment and more.
Course Outcome
On successful completion of the course the student will receive a SCQF Level 5 Certificate in Post Blast Scene Management (Credit Points 8). The individual will be able to fulfil a meaningful role within a multi-agency team.
