Course Description
This EOD training course is designed for individuals with little or no formal knowledge of explosives and other more experienced explosives workers who may want to formalise their vocational qualifications and experience through an academic award and who want to enter the Humanitarian Demining field or something similar.
This course has been specifically constructed to meet the International Mine Action Standards, the European Union EOD competency standards and UK National Occupational Standards (NOS). On completion of this course the student will be able to carry out the explosives demolition of Unexploded Ordinance (UXO), Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) and landmines.
Course Outcome
On successful completion of the course the student will receive an SCQF Level 5 Certificate in Explosives Ordnance Disposal Level 1 (Credit Points 11).
