Cobra Mine Disposal System (MDS)

The Cobra MDS course is a 5-day module designed to acquaint operators in the practical handling and operation of the Cobra system, designed and developed by ECS Special Projects. The aim of the course is to provide participants with the basic practical knowledge and technical competency to use the system safely, with the relevant underwater ROV outfit (company specific – multi-purpose fit). The module includes system overview, methods of operation and explosive safety.

Suggested Attendees

You should attend this course if you;

• Work in a marine UXO risk-related discipline including but not limited to, developers, marine project principal designers, developers, principal contractors/sub-contractors, industry risk underwriters and insurers, independent personnel engaged in marine project management related activities.
• Health, safety and environmental advisors or anyone responsible for implementing organisational health, safety, security and marine environmental protocols which includes emergency planning and oversight.

No prior knowledge of UXO risk management in the marine environment is required for this course.
