Apprenticeships

The Sector Skills Strategy Group (SSSG) are working with the Institute of Explosives Engineers (IExpE) to find a new training provider for the OME level 4 and 6 apprenticeship programmes.

We are currently reviewing the delivery model and would welcome interest from any parties that would be in a position to work with us to continue delivery of these essential programmes as a new training provider.

The programmes provides an essential career path for those wishing to build a career in Explosives Engineering. The apprenticeship acts as an attraction tool, for a structured and independently assessed programme developed for the industry, by the industry, as well as allowing us to support UK Defence and the Governments mission of growing the economy whilst, breaking down the barriers to opportunity for young people.

Details of the Apprenticeship standards can be found of the IfATE website, and links are provided here
