Course Description
This course is designed to cover all aspects of airgun examination. This course can also be altered to meet specific needs and form part of a forensic strategy for the most serious of cases. The course will include Safety with airguns, Methods of operation, Standard airgun test, Working with the Skan Chronograph, Trigger Pulls, Loading and unloading procedures, Internal ballistics, External ballistics, Terminal ballistics, Forensic strategy, Pellet deformation, Airgun ammunition types, Increasing power, Test firing, Examination note taking, Charing PCP airguns, Lethality, and Firearms Law. This is a CPD-related course. This can contribute to your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and will be evidenced through multiple-choice summative assessment and the award if a Course Completion Certificate.
Suggested Attendees
Students on this course will be expected to have a basic knowledge of safe firearms handling.
