Description

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensuring compliance with environmental permit including implementation and variation requirements as well as pollution data collection and submission
  • Chemical and environmental incident management including root-cause analysis, report generation and publication
  • Maintenance and continuous improvement of the sites environmental management system in line with the requirements of ISO 14001 & ISO 50001, including participation in third party audits and conducting site internal audits to a specified schedule
  • Managing COSHH and PUWER databases, including creating and updating COSHH & PUWER assessments
  • Implementation and management of NetZero projects to improve the environmental and sustainability performance of the site
  • Collecting and analysing energy, water and waste data for internal monitoring and permit compliance
  • Champion a culture of Environmental Safety excellence at the company in a high hazard environment

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • NEBOSH Certificate
  • Experience of environmental permitting and knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 50001
  • Knowledge and experience of HSE Management Systems

Desirable:

  • HND / degree in an environmental qualification or equivalent
  • NEBOSH Diploma
  • Experience of working in a high hazard environment
  • Awareness of Weapon systems and explosive protocols
