NASA’s Artemis I Launch
Artemis I is the first in a series of increasingly complex missions which aims to enable human exploration to the Moon and Mars. On the 16th of November the uncrewed aircraft, known as Orion, was successfully launched on its 40,000-mile-long journey over the course of 25.5 days. The mission is a critical part of NASA’s Moon to Mars exploration and will test whether astronauts will participate in the Artemis II mission.
The series of missions over the next decade aim to create a more sustained presence at Earth’s satellite with the use of rovers and a mini space station in orbit around the moon.
You can follow the launch on the NASA website and social media channels before it lands on the 11th of December.
