As a licensed member of the Engineering Council, we are able to offer our members the free use of the Engineering Council’s continuing professional development (CPD) recording software, which enables the effective management and recording of career development. This is a crucial aim of IExpE which is supported by our policies and practices targeted at advancing our member’s professional standing and career opportunities.

mycareerpath Professional Development software is an online tool for engineers and technicians to plan, evaluate and record their professional development (PD). With mycareerpath, users can record activities and experience that contribute to their PD and build up a body of evidence that can be updated, printed, and sent to colleagues or Institutions for online review and comments.

mycareerpath Overview

mycareerpath is aligned with the UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UKSpec) for EngTech, IEng, and CEng. Members are able to measure and track their progress against the competence statements for the category of registration they are working towards, making mycareerpath a vital tool in the journey towards becoming professionally registered, and beyond in continuing to record their continuing professional development (CPD).

mycareerpath is owned by the Engineering Council. Professional engineering institutions and professional affiliates are licensed to use the system. mycareerpath can be tailored with branding and house styles, and promoted to members. Institutions may also add their own, customised competence profiles to the system.

Dedicated CPD Auditing functionality enables the institution to undertake large-scale CPD record samples and release feedback to members through mycareerpath, in line with Engineering Council and other CPD sampling requirements.

Using mycareerpath puts your complete records in one place. The system is mobile and tablet compatible, to enable records to be accessed or added to on-the-go.
