Introducing the SSSG

Sector Skills Strategy Group (SSSG)

The SSSG consists of Institute of Explosives Engineers (IExpE) Corporate members, which is a collaborative group of varying organisations from across the sector, who provide strategic direction to sustain explosives skills. The group was formed after acknowledging the ‘ESA Feasibility Study’, undertaken by J. Akhavan & Dr D Tisley, Cranfield University, which identified a risk to loss of skills/competence within the industry.  Subsequently, the SSSG formed sub-groups to facilitate the needs of the industry, the chairpersons of these groups report directly to the SSSG group members.
