Covid 19 Advice and guidance on transport arrangements from the Department for Transport

Dear members, If you have not already received these items from other sources, the Department for Transport Dangerous Goods Team has circulated the following letter, guidance, and information to assist members in that sector.

Following the Prime Minister’s statement on Sunday, a number of supplementary document have now been published online.

COVID-19 Recovery Strategy
This Strategy describes the progress the UK has made to date in tackling the COVID-19 outbreak, and sets out the plans for moving to the next phase of its response to the virus – it can be found here.

DfT Guidance
To help you understand how to provide safe workplaces and services for both your staff and your passengers, the Government has also today published new guidance for transport operators which can be found here.

Alongside this we have published guidance for passengers, with information about how they can travel safely which can be found here.

BEIS Guidance
The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has also published a range of new guidance on safer workplaces today which may of interest to you and can be found here.

Secretary of State engagement
Finally, our Secretary of State has issued a letter to all transport operators on the transport guidance which some of you may have received separately which I have attached here. He will also be giving an Oral Statement in the House tomorrow on this subject.
