In the two papers candidates will be examined in the theory and use of explosives in the Offshore Oil Industry.

Safety Procedures Offshore (Radio Silence/Storage etc.)
Electric Line Explosive Operations (Pipe Cutting, Perforating, Plug Setting etc. Ohms etc.)
Subsea Explosives (Wellhead Removal, Coles Law etc.)
Shaped Charges (Perforators, Jet Cutters, Junk Shots etc.)
Detonating Systems (e.g. EBW, Radio Safe Systems, Pressure Actuated etc.)
Explosive Types (e.g. RDX/PYX, Temperature rating, Classification etc.)

A two hour paper requiring detailed knowledge of the above and additional offshore operations.
