Organization of the Institute
Membership Structure
The Institute of Explosives Engineers consists of Voting Members and Non-Voting Members.
Voting Members
- Honorary Fellows who are Voting Members (by dint of having been a Fellow, Member or Associate)

Non-Voting Members are:
- Company Members
- Honorary Fellows who are not Voting Members (not having formerly held Voting status)
- Company Affiliates
- Students
The names of all Corporate and Non Corporate Members are entered on the Roll of the Institute.
Council
The Institute is governed by a Council consisting of:
- A President and two Vice President elected from within by the members of Council
- Ten representatives of voting members and two representatives of the Associates elected by voting members at the AGM. Half of the Corporate Members are elected on alternate years.
- Also serving on Council, but without voting rights, are the Honorary Life Vice President, two elected Non-Corporate Members, one to he elected on alternate years, the Honorary Treasurer, and up to three co-opted members representing specialized spheres of activity.

Secretariat
The Institute is administered by a Secretariat located within Cranfield University (RMCS Shrivenham Campus) near Swindon in Wiltshire. Contact details and directions on how to get there are contained in this web site.
